A non-steroidal anti-androgen, bicalutamide is used in combination with a gonadotropin-releasing hormone for treating prostate cancer. It works by blocking the action of testosterone. This medicine may also be used prevent priapism, to treat excessive hair growth in women and to treat early puberty in boys.

bicalutamide 50 mg is an oral non-steroidal anti-androgen used in the treatment of prostate cancer. This medicine blocks the effect of the male hormone called testosterone in the prostate, thereby slowing growth of the tumors.
Dosage
Missed Dose
bicalutamide 50 mg tablet missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Warning
Pregnancy – Cassotide 50mg is not recommended for use in women.
Contraception – Effective contraception methods must be used during treatment with this medicine and until 130 days after stopping the therapy.
